A few people have asked about this already, so I figured I'd post it here for everybody.
Feel free to recruit people to join the league if you wish. All I ask is that you make sure they understand the following: - This is for 2012 - The league constitution is still being drafted. There is an in-progress draft copy which I will post on here next week. - Organizations will be selected on a first-come first-serve basis, but I will not be forcing people to select a team prior to the constitution being substantially complete.
My overall plan is to have the constitution 95% complete by the end of June and recruit hard and heavy in July. At that point, there will be many people looking to join a mid-season league, so I'll just piggyback off of that. I'll have people select teams and let people start making trades then.

We just received an invite from ProFSL to host our league on their site. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it's essentially a fantasy sports community dedicated to "advanced" leagues such as this one. www.profsl.comI am strongly considering moving the league over there. While we'll lose some of the bells and whistles of this Proboards site, being a part of a larger community with similar interests will help us in the recruitment process. Also, I'd feel better being on a forum that's not free; you never know when free services will get terminated. In terms of recruitment, we will also target team-specific forums for the remaining teams when we get to 2/3 full (or in that vicinity). At that point, the teams left are probably not that desirable to the average baseball fan and we'll have to get die-hard fans for that specific team.

I was previously in a league there and after I left, they migrated over to ProFSL. In general, I found the people there to be fairly intelligent.
